I have a couple of published novels but I am having difficulty getting people beside my family members to read it. How do I tackle this problem?

laptop for energy reduction, but with external LCD monitor so with 2 screens it's easier to run fairly paperless office, & an external mouse, keyboard & stand for ergonomic reasons.

Desktop for significant computing work, backups & data storage.
  • That is so true. I have to sroll up and down all the time on my laptop screen that cost me a lot of time. With my next book, I'll invest in a BIG screen. Thanks for sharing this tip.
  • Great idea!

What is your opinion on keeping your book files on a site such as Google Docs or Microsof Office Live Workspace? I like using Office Live because I can log in from anywhere (ultimate portability) and my files maintain their formatting, unlike with Google.

There's one thing I don't understand. You said you could be working on the big screen and if an email pops up, you would choose to open it or not. But if the screen is just a bigger version of your laptop screen, going to read the email would happen on both screens, wouldn't it? Or could you somehow leave what you are working on the big screen and check the email on the laptop?
  • Hi Connor. Great question. When you have a laptop and a big screen there are few options to choose from. You can have it so whatever is on the laptop screen will show up on the big screen. Alternatively you can choose to have like two desktops so that the big screen will act as a second screen and will be independent to your laptop. hope this helps and thanks for your support.

Oh, I get it. That's pretty neat. My dad has a really big computer screen. He uses his 45 " tv ;)
