Hi Conner, yes it is more for people that shelf-publish, however if you are a first time author, you may want to do a number of these activities before you approach a publisher, so that you are presenting your book with a really high standard. Dale

I'm fortunate to have two highly skilled and experienced individuals supporting my first book: Raymond Chow - a prominent visual artist/illustrator w. 50 years in the field, and Dominic DaAssuncao - a computer analyst/developer w. 18 years in his specialization. While both are established professionals and a wealth of resources, either may be able offer support or guidance to new artists. Their contact emails are: raymondchowartists@gmail.com, and dominic.daassuncao@shaw.ca

Give them a try and say I referred them ~ Joyce Mah

Now is this mostly just for self publishing authors? I'd think if a major publisher took on someones book, they would take care of all this stuff with their own people. Or would they even rather have the author take care of it to leave their own people free?
