OMG..Terry..I do the same thing..except I use gum cartons and napkins to write notes on..they end up in my top drawer or a box too..I go through them at the end of each month..and again in 3 months…or whatever paper is at hand..Terry is really well spoken on this topic..Thanks Dale for bringing her on. Always wondered how others organise chapters in their books.. cool idea with the post_its..Pretty solid demonstration of distribution !!

This brought tears to my eyes seeing how Terry moved from resisting being an author and worrying about being judged as one, to becoming such a passionate author and finding such an important audience for her work in the children's books after pushing through and creating multiple books. Hmmm… “Don't judge yourself?”
Could you NOT have told me that 6 months ago???? I deleted 350 pages of the book I'd written last year :'(

Thank the heavens, I do still have the bare bones in my notes books (like Terry does) but how to put it together?? Do I make it 2 different books?? I have so much to say on various topics……. lol

I'm only just getting round to watching these videos and I'm loving them so far. I wish I'd had this information before I published my first novel, it would have made such a difference to the way I did things. Thank you Dale, I'll certainly be doing things differently with the novel I'm currently writing.

And thank you Terry for that wonderful tip on the Post It notes. I've been having a nightmare getting my thoughts in order with my first non-fiction book but that is a genius idea as I can move them round as I go if I need to.

Terry thank you for the idea on how to get one's thoughts coordinated. I usually struggle with completing my thoughts in order; and would be struck for a while just doing so even lthough I have an idea what should be in the parts to follow. Your three part method will really help me. I gathered that you state what you want be in the book. The chapters are named, probably not in order. Then at the side of each chapter, you state what goes into each one.

I enjoyed the way Ms. Hawkins discussed her insecurities with writing a book. Writing something others will want to read is an issue I struggle with as well. I have a book started, but struggle with the “what 'right' do I have writing a book” self-questioning, too.
